I would appreciate other opening times. Felt is always closed. But when it is open it is really nice there. Delicious coffee and cake. Great view of the Papenteich.

At the end of our motorcycle tour we visited the Café Blaue Zwiebel today with seven people. We all loved the beautiful atmosphere there. Cakes, waffles, ice cream and coffee were outstanding. Unbeatable the view of the beautiful lake! Great cafe, where you 'only' outside can sit, and probably in winter ... This place is definitely worth a visit! We will definitely be back! 🤗

We almost drove by, as I see in the corner of my eye this wonderfully idyllic Papensee with the Café Blue Onion. The former kiosk was revived as a taproom and serves delicious cakes, waffles and refreshing iced coffees and ice chocolates. The ambience is just to feel good, the staff friendly and the view of the lake gives true holiday mood. Even in winter, the kiosk has opened. With hot water bottles, warm blankets and a fire bowl is the guests "heated". In the summer grilling is on the weekends. An absolute "must see"

If you stay in Bad Freienwalde, you should pay a visit to the "Blue Onion" in good weather. Picturesque by a small lake is this outdoor café. The very friendly service serves fine cakes and exquisite ice cream creations on baked waffles. It does not get any better, the ambience is right

The onion is idyllically situated on a pond at the spa park and so a stay feels like a small holiday. The waffles are delicious, but even better is the ice cream.

A very special cafe with outdoor seating overlooking the water. In the cafe one searches in vain seats ... is simply (magical) small. The staff friendly and helpful. Everything is served with love and interesting decoration. Even in winter much and often visited. In addition to pillows, there are plenty of blankets to einmummeln. Just a very special way to enjoy your coffee.

A wonderful little cafe with a lot of charm. The drinks and also the cake / waffle are served with a heart and a great decoration. The eye drinks and eats with it! Blankets and skins are ready to be wrapped in during the cold season, and a small oven spreads a bit of warmth.

I have been here 3 times within 6 days. It is just so mischievous and lovingly decorated. You have to experience that for yourself. The service always super nice and friendly. They are very concerned about their guests, providing them with blankets and hot water bottles. Keep up the good work

Soooooooo lovingly and imaginatively designed outdoor area, just wonderful !!! That has addressed us immediately! So romantic on the water, in this beautiful autumnal nature to sit and enjoy, what could be nicer !? In addition a very friendly, super nice service !!!!

A super small, very nice outdoor cafe, great hospitality and staff just great

The blue onion is a small pavilion that has excellent coffee specialties, very, very delicious cakes (I enjoyed chocolate and walnut cakes) and also ice cream. What is special is the location directly on the pond in front of the Kurhaus Moorbad Bad Freienwalde. You can sit outside or under rain-proof tent pavilions with an idyllic view of the pond and the park. The only horse feet are the short and unfortunately sometimes irregular opening times of the small family business, which, according to the owner, have to be subordinate to family circumstances from time to time. If you are lucky enough to find the blue onion open, you should definitely treat yourself to a quiet coffee and a piece of cake.
